Homeschool Programs in Three Rivers Park District for September 2012

Kayaking

Wednesday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m.-noon, at French Regional Park, Plymouth. Beginning course focuses on technique, safety, and the joy of being out on the water. Learn about equipment, how to get in and out of a kayak properly, and how to be safe on the water. Become skilled at beginning paddling strokes including going forward, turning, and stopping. All equipment provided. Cost is $15 and reservations are required. Call 763-559-6700 to make a reservation and reference activity number #425023-00.  This program is for ages: 8-12.

Homeschool Fall Tram and Cider

Friday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m.- noon, or 1-3 p.m., at Eastman Nature Center, in Elm Creek Park Reserve, Dayton. Board our "Bluebird Express" tractor-drawn tram for an hour-long ride to view fall colors and spectacular park scenery. Crush crisp apples into fresh, tasty cider and learn the history of apple cidering. This program is designed for homeschoolers ages: 3-16.
