'Beer for Boobs' - Local Restaurants Support Breast Cancer Awareness
The event will take place at 3 Squares, Edina Grill, The Longfellow Grill and The Groveland Tap Oct. 26-28 to benefit the Pay It Forward organization.

A three-day beer event at four Twin Cities Blue Plate Restaurant locations will be raising funds for a local nonprofit as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
3 Squares in Maple Grove, Edina Grill in Edina, Longfellow Grill in Minneapolis and Groveland Tap in St. Paul will all have their ‘Beer for Boobs’ event Oct. 26-28.
“At each of these locations, we will have one designated tap line that is our ‘Beer for Boobs’,” said Longfellow Grill Assistant General Manager and event organizer Tori Koistinen.

Edina Grill and Longfellow Grill will be getting Summit kegs, she said, and 3 Squares and Groveland Tap will be getting Third Street Brewhouse kegs.
“All of the kegs used for this event have been kindly donated by each of the breweries in order to help us raise this money and make this fundraiser successful,” Koistinen said.

The idea came to Koistinen since she lost both her mother and grandmother to breast cancer when she was younger.
“Since breast cancer has affected my life so strongly, I thought it would be a great event to help local women in the community who are in need of support during treatment,” she said.
The Pay It Forward organization will receive the proceeds from the event. The nonprofit, partner of North Memorial Foundation based in Robbinsdale, “helps patients pay their bills while they undergo treatment for breast and women’s cancers,” according to their website.
