• Brooklyn Park Man Charged with Second-Degree Assault After Maple Grove Restaurant Shooting (hoodline.com) — A recent shooting at the Benihana on Fountains Drive in Maple Grove led to second-degree assault charges against a Brooklyn Park man, now jailed in Hennepin County. Maple Grove police say the November 14 incident was targeted, not random, and credit a multi-agency effort for the December 23 arrest. The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening, and the case is now moving through court. 
• Holiday shopping fun (hometownsource.com) — Maple Grove kids recently got a special holiday outing, shopping with Maple Grove police officers at Walmart before wrapping gifts at the Community Center thanks to local business donations. Similar Shop With a Cop events in Osseo, Champlin and Dayton also helped area children enjoy a festive, supportive night out.
• 2025 in Review: Suburbs once again dominate housing starts (finance-commerce.com) — Maple Grove continues to be a major construction hot spot, ranking ninth in the Twin Cities metro for new housing starts in 2025 after two years at sixth place. Suburbs like Rosemount, Woodbury and Lakeville led the surge, underscoring strong demand for single-family homes across the region.
