Clinic Sofia Opens Expanded Maple Grove Clinic
The larger, stand-alone space will help Clinic Sofia accommodate growing patient base in Maple Grove and surrounding west metro.

Clinic Sofia, a Twin Cities’ OBGYN clinic, recently doubled its footprint in Maple Grove with a brand-new 6,000-square-foot clinic is officially open for business as of today. The stand-alone building, located next door to Clinic Sofia’s former location across from Maple Grove Hospital, includes twice the number of patient rooms and additional staff to serve its growing patient base in the west metro.
Clinic Sofia, founded in 2004 in Edina, added its Maple Grove location in 2012 and has seen a steady uptick in demand for its personalized approach to women’s healthcare. It is consistently ranked as a top OBGYN clinic in the area, including being named a 2021 Gold Winner for Minnesota’s Best Women’s Clinic and Minnesota’s Best Fertility Specialist by the Star Tribune Readers' Choice Awards. Clinic Sofia is also known for providing a welcoming atmosphere at its locations, featuring elegant furnishings and design elements meant to evoke calm and serenity.
“We hope our Maple Grove patients will love our new space as much as we do,” said Clinic Sofia Clinic Administrator Katie Sexe, who adds they often hear their clinics don’t feel like a typical doctor’s office. “We take pride in offering a comforting and nurturing environment, from the personal attention we provide to each and every patient to our beautifully designed spaces, and are so excited to welcome patients into our new home in Maple Grove.”

In addition to more parking, the new clinic located at 15715 Grove Circle North includes a large, light-filled lobby with ample and size-friendly seating and features more open space throughout to give patients and staff room to move about in a safe and comfortable manner. Clinic Sofia also recently expanded its staff, adding two providers for a total of four physicians who will be on site each day. In addition, a second sonographer will increase the clinic’s capacity for ultrasound needs.
“Our new space and new staff will enable Clinic Sofia to offer our personalized approach to healthcare to even more women throughout the Maple Grove and the west metro area,” added Sexe.
