Craft Show Coming Saturday

The Maple Grove Women of Today’s 2013 Fall Festival Craft Show takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Maple Grove Community Center. There will be more than 90 booths with crafts and other products.

Oak View Elementary to Host Electronics Recycling Fundraiser

Oak View Elementary School is partnering with Tech Dump, an electronic recycling nonprofit, to collect unwanted electronics.

The event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot of Oak View Elementary at 6710 East Fish Lake Road in Maple Grove. Bring computers, cell phones, electrical cords, internal/external drives, miscellaneous electronic accessories, TVs and monitors. A $10 donation is requested for CRT TVs and monitors  27 inches and smaller and $40 for larger than 27 inches.

Oak View will use the funds raised to support PTO sponsored events like grade-level activities and trips to the MN Science Museum, the Bakken Museum, and the Minneapolis Art Institute.
