Does Maple Grove Need Another Frozen Yogurt Shop?

Maple Grove residents are generally thrilled when any new eatery opens. But reaction on Patch’s Facebook page was unexpectedly muted when readers learned that the frozen yogurt store Menchie’s planned to open in November.

Some commenters wondered whether Maple Grove really needs another frozen yogurt shop when it already has a handful of options in the area. Right now, there are Tutti Frutti and CherryBerry in Maple Grove. There’s Freeziac just across the border in Plymouth. And now Menchie’s is setting up shop near the Cub Foods off Elm Creek Boulevard.
