The 18th annual American Indian Education Day and Wacipi will be held on Saturday, April 27 from 12-6 p.m. at Osseo Junior High. Each year, this free event draws community members seeking to explore Native American heritage and culture through artisan exhibits, demonstrations, dance, and much more.
Attendees can experience our continent’s rich native history by visiting with educators and community members seeking to educate youth about our continent’s indigenous people.

“The goals of American Indian Education Day are to enlighten the public about American Indian history and heritage while also uplifting Minnesota’s American Indian students by providing encouragement and pathways to pursue higher education,” said Ramona Stately, Secondary Indian Education Program Coordinator for the Osseo Area Schools.
