Pierre Bottineau Open House at Elm Creek Park Reserve

Step back in time on Saturday, May 11, from 2-4 p.m., at Elm Creek Park Reserve, Maple Grove, and explore the restored Pierre Bottineau house.


Built in 1854 — four years before Minnesota became a state — it’s one of a handful of homes remaining from Minnesota’s territorial era.


Explore exhibits that highlight the life and times of the legendary Bottineau. Hear how his varied roles — hunter, trader, entrepreneur, and founder of cities — impacted the early development of the state.
