Goldy’s Locker Room Hosts Goldy Gopher for Winter Wonderland

Goldy’s Locker Room is excited to have the University of Minnesota mascot, Goldy Gopher, visit their newest store in Maple Grove at The Shoppes of Arbor Lakes on Dec. 14. 

Goldy will be available for meet and greets at Goldy's Locker Room from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., signing autographs, taking pictures and meeting Gopher sports fans. The store is a drop-off site for Toys for Tots, and there will be members of the Marine Corp in-store to help process donations. 

This event is in collaboration with The Shoppes of Arbor Lakes Winter Wonderland weekend; a family fun event which features Santa and his reindeer, Carolers and special promotions and offers from retails at The Shoppes.

“We want this event with Goldy Gopher to be a way for families to make great holiday memories together and to make Goldy’s Locker Room a part of their holiday traditions,” says Jessie Morneau, event planner for Goldy’s Locker Room. “This new store is one of our largest and it allows us to carry a wide selection of items not just for the Gophers, but for all the Minnesota Pro Sports teams as well. This will be an amazing way to shop for gifts, have fun with Goldy, and donate to Toys for Tots all in one place.”

In addition to Goldy’s visit, Goldy’s Locker Room will be celebrating the holidays in other ways. Customer will receive a free t-shirt with a purchase of $25 or more during the hours for Goldy’s visit. They can enter a drawing for a chance to win prizes including Gopher merchandise, Goldy’s Locker Room gift cards, and tickets to Gopher basketball games. Kids can also have their names entered in a drawing by coloring a picture of Goldy Gopher while in the store.
