Granite City Receives Patio Permission from Maple Grove City Council
The 1,444 square-foot outdoor patio plan moves forward to the construction phase.

Granite City Food & Brewery in Maple Grove received final approval for a new outdoor patio from the Maple Grove City Council at the Oct. 1 meeting.
The council approved the PUD Development Stage Plan for the construction of the outdoor 1,444 square-foot patio addition as part of its regular meeting.
The outdoor patio at Granite City will be located on the north side of the building along Main Street. Highlights of the new addition, according to planning commission documents, include a stone fireplace, up to 84 seats and a seasonal bar. The patio is proposed have a partial enclosure with wood ceiling, fans and lighting.

The new patio area is anticipated to open in the spring of 2013.
