Hail, High Winds Possible In Maple Grove Monday Morning: NWS
The National Weather Service's "special weather statement" alert runs through 9:15 a.m. Monday.
MAPLE GROVE, MN — The Maple Grove area could see nickel-sized hail and winds of up to 40 mph Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service.
NWS forecasters are urging residents to “seek shelter in a sturdy structure” during the duration of its “special weather statement,” which runs until 9:15 a.m. Monday.
The NWS’ “special weather statement” includes Maple Grove, Brooklyn Park and Plymouth, as well as surrounding municipalities.

The National Weather Service also issued a hazardous weather outlook Monday for much of Minnesota, including Hennepin County. The hazardous weather outlook warns there could be several rounds of thunderstorms Monday, with large hail possible during the first storm in the morning.
A second round may occur this afternoon and evening across eastern Minnesota and Wisconsin,” according to the NWS. "Large hail, damaging winds, and a tornado or two are possible with that round.”
