Minnesotans can rent about 870 square feet of apartment space for $1,400, on average, which is 11 percent higher than the national average for that rate, RentCafe reports.

Minneapolis renters get the least amount of space for the average $1,400 rent, at just 675 square feet, while Moorhead renters can get more than twice as much space — just under 1,500 square feet — for the same price, RentCafe’s report shows.
