'Huge' Garage Sale and Disaster Relief 5K
Check out what you can do this weekend in Maple Grove.
You can help victims of disasters or help a Maple Grove family get rid of some stuff this weekend.
It's time for the annual Headwaters Relief Organization "Run with a Purpose." Walk-up registration is from 7:30 to 8 a.m. Saturday, and the race starts at 8:30 a.m. at the Chipmunk Shelter at Elm Creek Park Reserve.
"Funds raised may help feed children at an orphanage in Haiti, provide mental health services to survivors of Hurricane Sandy, and support relief efforts to Minnesotans and others in the U.S. after flooding, tornadoes and other disasters," according to the organization.
Also Saturday, there is a 'huge' moving garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Weaver Lake Drive.
"Everything clean and in 'like new' condition," according to the event listing.
