Hundreds To Graduate June 12 From Maple Grove High School

The school is also set to host a commencement car parade, an event that's been a "huge success the last two years," officials said.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Hundreds of seniors at Maple Grove High School are set to receive their diplomas next week at the school's graduation ceremony.

Maple Grove High School’s commencement is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. June 12 at 3M Arena at Mariucci on the University of Minnesota’s Minneapolis campus. Tickets are not required, and there is no limit on the number of guests that each student can bring, officials said.

CCX Media will broadcast and livestream the ceremony, according to the district.

Maple Grove High School’s Senior All-Night Party is scheduled to start immediately after the ceremony, with students to be bussed from school to Bowlero in Blaine, officials said.

The school is due to host a commencement car parade Wednesday, which is seniors’ last day of class. Seniors will also “walk the halls” at their former elementary schools that day.

The commencement car parade, which officials said was a “huge success the last two years” amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. in the school’s parking lot. Officials are encouraging graduates to decorate their vehicles and bring a driver so they can “fully enjoy the event.”
