Maple Grove, Osseo Make AP Football Rankings

Local teams are sharing the football spotlight these days.

Maple Grove’s 4-0 start has put it at fifth in the Associated Press rankings. Osseo, at 3-1, is ranked eighth.

The full rankings are:

1. Eden Prairie (7) 4-0;
2. Minnetonka 5-0;
3. East Ridge 4-0;
4. Lakeville North 4-0;
5. Maple Grove 4-0;
6. Wayzata 3-1;
7. Rosemount 3-1;
8. Osseo 3-1;
9. (tie) Totino-Grace 3-1 and Farmington 4-0.

Maple Grove will try to keep its streak alive at 7 p.m. Friday when it takes on Anoka in its Homecoming game. The Orioles will play Andover at 7 p.m. in what is also their Homecoming game.
