Correction: A previous version of this article incorrectly stated the Minnesota National Guard was collecting donations for Ukraine, based on information from the Maple Grove Police Department. Donation efforts in Minnesota are not being coordinated by the National Guard.

A spokesperson for the Minnesota National Guard said the initial request for donations was made by the California National Guard, which has partnered with the Ukrainian military and Ukrainian National Guard since 1993 through the National Guard's State Partnership Program.
