Maple Grove Wants Input On $116 Million Community Center Plan
On Election Day, residents will vote to approve or reject a half-cent sales tax to finance most of the project.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — The city of Maple Grove is seeking input on its proposal to invest $116 million in expansions and programs at the community center.
The city will host an informational open house on Sept. 7 at the community center's banquet room from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The community center is located at 12951 Weaver Lake Road.
According to the city, the $116 million project would build new swimming pools, new space for senior programs, renovated banquet space, space for the arts, an indoor walking track, a third sheet of ice, and general infrastructure improvements.

On Nov. 8, residents will vote to approve or reject a half-cent sales tax to finance $90 million for the community center project.
At the open house next month, residents can speak with city officials, learn more about the project plans and proposed sales tax, and provide input.
