MN State Patrol Unable To Identify 2 Killed In Fiery Highway 169 Wreck

"Jane Doe" and "John Doe" were killed in a three-car crash ​that happened on Monday just before 11:30 a.m., according to authorities.

BROOKLYN PARK, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol has not yet been able to identify the man and woman killed in a fiery wreck on Interstate 169 in Brooklyn Park.

"Jane Doe" and "John Doe" were killed in a three-car crash that happened on Monday just before 11:30 a.m., according to authorities.

A Honda Pilot, Jeep Liberty, and Chevy Silverado were northbound on Highway 169 approaching 109th Avenue. As traffic was slowing to a stop, the Chevy Silverado rear-ended the Jeep Liberty which then rear-ended the Honda Pilot, investigators said.

The crash sparked a fire which killed both occupants of the Jeep.

The driver of the Silverado — a 55-year-old Maple Grove man — was transported to North Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 78-year-old Andover woman in the Pilot was uninjured.
