Enjoy Fare for All: Shoppers looking for a way to get the most out of their grocery budget can visit Lord of Life Lutheran Church’s “Fare for All” event from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 3 and Oct. 31 at the church. The Emergency Foodshelf Network buys food from wholesalers—the same companies grocery stores get their food from—and passes on savings of up to 40 percent on fresh fruits and vegetables and frozen meats. Buying food at Fare for All events increases the network’s buying power, allowing the organization to help more food shelves. The event is open to everyone, regardless of income level. Cash, credit/debit cards and EBT cards are accepted.

Maple Grove Farmers Market continues: There may be a chill in the air, but fans of local food still have a few more weeks to enjoy the Maple Grove Farmers Market. The Maple Grove Farmers Market is open Thursdays through October 24. Hours are 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. through September and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in October. Credit, Debit, and EBT cards are welcome. Shoppers can stop by the Market Information Booth to swipe their cards and receive Market tokens to spend on site.
