TWIN CITIES, MN — More haze is expected Wednesday as smoke from the wildfires in the Pacific Northwest makes its way into the Twin Cities metro area.

"There is a layer of elevated smoke that will linger over the Upper Midwest through the next 24 to 48 hours," the NWS told Patch on Tuesday. Read more about the wildfires in the Pacific Northwest here.

Current air quality has been downgraded from "good" to "moderate" in the metro, according to the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency. People who are especially sensitive to air pollution will likely be affected Wednesday.
