School Bus Ran Over 6-Year-Old In Brooklyn Park: Police
Police said a school bus ran over a boy in Brooklyn Park Thursday afternoon.
BROOKYLN PARK, MN — A 6-year-old boy is expected to survive after he was run over by a school bus Wednesday in Brooklyn Park, according to police.
On Wednesday just after 3 p.m., Brooklyn Park officers responded to the crash at 8700 Edinbrook Crossing North.
Officers provided emergency aid to the child before he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to investigators.

Police said the child was dropped off by a school bus in the parking lot of the Edinburgh Golf Course to walk home to a nearby residence.

During the drop-off, the child was run over by the bus, according to police. The bus left the scene, but officers later tracked down the driver, investigators said.
The driver was unaware that the bus had struck the child, according to police. There were other children on the bus at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Student Safe LLC operates the bus route, according to investigators.
Brooklyn Park police and the Minnesota State Patrol are still investigating the crash.
