• 160-mile power line to connect substation near Fargo to central Minnesota (inforum.com) — A major 160-mile power line is planned to connect a substation near Fargo with central Minnesota, and Maple Grove–based Great River Energy is one of three utilities leading the project. Construction could start in 2029 and finish by 2033, improving grid reliability and supporting growing electricity demand across Minnesota and North Dakota. Local open houses are ongoing as routes are finalized.
