Speed Blamed After Single-Car Crash Kills 20-Year-Old In North Metro
The deadly crash happened on Interstate 35E just after 2:30 a.m. on Friday, authorities said.
LINO LAKES, MN — The Minnesota State Patrol is investigating after a single-car crash left a 20-year-old dead early Friday morning in the north metro.
Just after 2:30 a.m., a Subaru Forester was entering southbound Interstate 35E from Main Street.
The Forester was traveling "at a high rate of speed" when it left the entrance ramp to the east, authorities said.

The Forester went down the embankment, hit a culvert, and rolled several times before coming to rest on its roof in the center median, according to investigators.
The driver — identified as Bryan Chue Fue Vang of Vadnais Heights — died at the scene. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash, authorities said.
