Suspect In Fatal Shooting Of Maple Grove Man Turns Himself In: Police
Marlon Pompey, 28, was shot around 8:25 p.m. June 9 at a gas station in Plymouth. He died shortly after a local hospital, officials said.
PLYMOUTH, MN — A 23-year-old man who police were searching for in connection with the fatal shooting of a Maple Grove man turned himself into authorities last week.
Plymouth police identified Daniel Hart, of Brooklyn Park, as a suspect in the death of Marlon Pompey, 28, who was shot around 8:25 p.m. June 9 at a gas station in the 9600 block of 36th Avenue North in Plymouth.
First responders treated Pompey at the gas station before he was taken to a local hospital, where he died shortly after, according to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner.

Hart turned himself in Friday at the Hennepin County Jail, and he was charged with possession of a firearm and ammunition by a prohibited person, police said.
Hart has not been charged in connection with Pompey’s death, as of noon Wednesday.
