Sustainability Group To Host Earth Day Event At Maple Grove Library
Maple Grove Citizens for Sustainability's "How is our city GROWing?" event starts at 11 a.m. Saturday.
MAPLE GROVE, MN — A group of residents is set to host an event Saturday at Maple Grove Library to honor Earth Day.
Maple Grove Citizens for Sustainability’s inaugural Earth Day event — titled “How is our city GROWing?” — is scheduled to run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the library.
The event will feature a plant swap, gift basket raffle and opportunities to talk to other residents about Maple Grove’s natural resources and environmental efforts.

Maple Grove Citizens for Sustainability is sponsoring the event with Kristy Janigo, who is seeking a seat on the Maple Grove City Council during the 2022 election. The terms of two council members — Phil Leith and Karen Jaeger — are set to end Dec. 31.

The group says its mission is to “collaborate with and encourage local residents, businesses, organizations and governments to work together to help build a more sustainable Maple Grove.”
