Average teacher pay in Minnesota ranges widely by district and region, and starting salaries can be dramatically lower than what a tenured staff member earns.

Teachers in the Osseo Area Schools system made an average of $73,572 in 2021, the 39th highest average salary among Minnesota districts, according to data from the Minnesota Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board.

Parnassus Preparatory Charter School ranked 378th, with an average salary of $52,853, while Beacon Academy ranked 453rd, with an average salary of $47,703, according to the board's data.

The Minnesota Excellence in Learning Academy ranked 480th, with an average salary of $45,524.

The state's lowest average teacher salary in 2021 was $18,194 at the Infinity: Minnesota Digital Academy, according to the board's data.
