The Lookout Bar and Grill Celebrates 55 Years in Maple Grove

Visit with the original owners, listen to live music and check out a pig roast.

The Lookout Bar and Grill in Maple Grove is celebrating 55 years the week of Sept. 24-28 with several events.

Community members can stop by to meet the original owners 4-6 p.m. Sept. 25, listen to live music by Jonah and the Whales 9 p.m. Sept. 28 and ending with a pig roast 1-3 p.m. Sept. 28 and live music by Psycho Babble.

The Lookout first opened by Bob Kinnan on May 28, 1958 as “Bob’s Lookout” on a family-owned, 40-acre farmland and continued to run the business with his wife Vivian until 1987.

The name change to "The Lookout Bar and Grill" came in 1987.  The business is run today by Bob and Vivian's son, Mike, and his wife, Brenda. 

The Lookout Bar and Grill is located at 8672 Pineview Lane North in Maple Grove.
