Toddler Killed Thursday In Maple Grove Crash: Police

A 31-year-old woman was also taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — A young child was killed Thursday evening in a two-car crash in Maple Grove, according to police.

Officers were called around 5:23 p.m. to a crash in the 16000 block of County Road 81, according to the Maple Grove Police Department.

A 2.5-year-old toddler was taken from the scene of the crash to Maple Grove Hospital where they died, police said.

A 31-year-old woman was also taken to a local hospital to be treated for injuries that were not life-threatening, police said. The other driver was not injured in the crash and cooperated with police, the department said in a news release.

County Road 81 was closed Thursday evening while police investigated the crash.
