Residents should place recycling and garbage bins behind the curb line to reduce the chance of them being knocked over while crews are plowing. Basketball hoops, boulders and other right-of-way obstructions should be placed at least 10 feet behind the curb line, according to Maple Grove officials.
Officials are also warning parents about letting their children play on or near roadways as they can often not be seen by snow-plowing crews.
