Wintry Weekend Weather Covers Maple Grove With Snow, Ice
The Maple Grove Police Department said officers responded to eight crashes from 6 p.m. Saturday through midnight Sunday.

MAPLE GROVE, MN — Days are getting longer and March Madness is just around the corner, sure signs that spring is on its way. But winter was not quite ready to end this weekend in Maple Grove.
More than five inches of snow fell in southwest Maple Grove over the weekend, while other parts of the city recorded snowfall of at least three inches, according to the National Weather Service.
Most of that accumulated during an “intense” period of snowfall that lasted only two to three hours early Sunday morning, the NWS said.
