The EIU report looked at stability, health care, culture and environment, education, and infrastructure. International cities are examined for their livability, CNBC reported.
Each city could gain a maximum of 100 points.

Honolulu may be the best in the U.S., but CNBC said Vienna, Austria was regarded as the world's best place to live. On the global list, New York slid into No. 70 while Los Angeles peaked at No. 58, CNBC reported.
The top 10 cities in which to live in the U.S. are as follows:
