2 Drivers, Both Unbelted, Die In SE Minnesota Crash: State Patrol
The men, ages 42 and 60, died when their cars collided head-on near the Minnesota-Wisconsin border.
HOUSTON COUNTY, MN — Two drivers died in a head-on crash on Friday in Houston County, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Neither man was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Alan Eldor Wunnecka, 60, of Brownsville was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Classic northbound on Highway 26. James Paul Adducci, 42, of La Crosse, Wisconsin, was driving a 2003 Infiniti G35 southbound.
The two vehicles collided in the northbound lane just before 4 p.m., authorities said. Both men were killed at the scene.

Airbags deployed in both cars, and alcohol was not a factor in the crash, according to investigators. Road conditions were dry at the time of the crash, authorities said.
Minnesota's seat belt law requires drivers and all passengers to be belted.
