1. The Minneapolis Police Department said there are currently no plans to release body camera footage in Wednesday's downtown shooting case. The victim's identity has not been confirmed but the person was reportedly shot while police were serving a search warrant. (CBS)

2. A former Brooklyn Center basketball coach has been sentenced to 12 years for sexually abusing elementary school players. Aaron Hjermstad attempted to flee the state in December while awaiting sentencing but was arrested in Idaho. (BMTN)

3. Forty-five more people died after contracting COVID-19 in Minnesota, the health department reported Thursday. More than 1,300 people statewide are hospitalized with the virus. (KARE11)

4. Richfield police are "confident" Tuesday's school shooting was an "isolated incident." An "altercation" occurred outside South Education Center among five students who knew each other, Patch reports. Jahmari Rice, 15, was killed and two other students were injured. (Patch)

5. Despite a reported nine-hour meeting Wednesday, Jim Harbaugh will not be the next head coach of the Minnesota Vikings. The team is expected to hire Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Kevin O'Connell. (Patch)
