• Suspects found guilty of 2023 Minneapolis murder (kstp.com) — Two men have been convicted of first-degree murder in the 2023 killing of Mikiyel Patton, who Minneapolis police found shot in an SUV on North Newton Avenue. Hennepin County prosecutors used surveillance, cellphone data, and DNA evidence to secure the verdicts, which carry mandatory life sentences. Sentencing is set for January 15, 2026.
   

• Suspect identified, no arrests as Minneapolis bus shooting puts safety in the spotlight (kstp.com) — Three people were wounded in a Friday shooting on a Metro Transit bus in Minneapolis, and police say they’ve identified a suspect but made no arrests yet. Officials stress that overall transit crime is down, but data show increased police presence on light rail, not buses, raising fresh questions about rider safety on city bus routes.
   

• Minnesota State Patrol squad car hit on I-94 in Minneapolis, driver arrested for DWI (fox9.com) — A Minnesota State Patrol squad car was struck late Friday on I-94 near Franklin Avenue in Minneapolis while a trooper was handling another crash, leading to a DWI arrest of the 24-year-old driver. The squad car, which had its emergency lights on, was pushed into another vehicle, and a passenger in the striking car suffered non-life-threatening injuries as the investigation continues.
