1. President Joe Biden is expected to issue an executive order on police reform today, which marks two years since George Floyd was murdered in Minneapolis. According to the New York Times, the president will ask law enforcement agencies to review use-of-force policies and no-knock warrants, among others. (KARE11)
2. A candlelight vigil will be held tonight in recognition of the second anniversary of Floyd’s death in 2020. More than 500 candles will be lit at the Say Their Names Memorial at E 37th Street and Columbus Avenue S. Additional events are planned throughout the weekend in Minneapolis. (The Current)

3. Five more Minnesotans have died of COVID-19, according to the Wednesday report from the state health department. Hospitalization risk remains high, but state data shows it appears to be trending downward. More than 400 residents are currently hospitalized with the virus, and Duluth just reinstated a mask mandate in city buildings as case surge. (CBS)
4. ESPN reports Denver Nuggets President of Basketball Operations Tim Connelly has reached a “landmark deal” with the Timberwolves. “Connelly will be paid $40 million over five seasons in addition to the ownership equity,” according to the report. (Yahoo)
