1. A woman was shot Wednesday night at Malcolm and University Avenues Southeast, police said. She is in critical condition. KARE11 reports the victim works as a forensic scientist for the police department's crime lab. (KARE11)

2. More than 1,400 COVID-19 cases were reported Friday in Minnesota. According to the health department, about 70 percent of the total population has had at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. (BMTN)

3. The Timberwolves are behind the Grizzlies 2-1 after a “historic meltdown” in game three Thursday night in Minneapolis. Game four is set for tonight at Target Center. (Sports Illustrated)

4. Tickets are on sale now for the Minneapolis St. Paul International Film Festival, which will be held May 5-19 in the Twin Cities. Film selections include Sundance favorites “Cha Cha Real Smooth” and “Emily the Criminal.” (MSP Film Society)
