Parents Arrested In Death Of 3-Year-Old Girl In St. Paul

St. Paul police continue an investigation into the death of a toddler in the Dayton's Bluff neighborhood.

ST. PAUL, MN — The parents of the 3-year-old girl who died early Sunday morning in St. Paul have been arrested, according to the Star-Tribune and others. Police were still trying to find out how the child died early Sunday afternoon.

The father, 42, and mother, 29, were jailed on suspicion of murder with charges pending, police said, according to the Star-Tribune. Five other children, ranging in age from 9 months to 11 years, were in the home at the time of the death, the report stated. They are now in the custody of Ramsey County Child Protection.

Police originally said the death of the toddler, reported around 2:30 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 3rd Street in the city's Dayton's Bluff neighborhood, was considered "suspicious."
