1. Temperatures will reach "dangerous" highs across Minnesota today, with a head index of up to 103 predicted. The National Weather Service announced an excessive heat warning, which goes into effect at 11 a.m. and lasts through 8 p.m. across the Twin Cities metro area. (BMTN)

2. Remote learning will be conducted today for Minneapolis Public Schools without full air conditioning. Students from more than a dozen city schools will work from home due to the excessive heat. (Patch)

3. Minneapolis will raise its minimum wage beginning July 1. Starting next month, businesses with less than 100 employees must offer starting pay at $13.50 per hour. Larger businesses will pay $15 per hour. (Patch)
