1. Portions of the IDS Center were evacuated Wednesday due to flooding. An overflowing water tank “impacted some of our electrical equipment,” building owner Accesso said in a statement yesterday afternoon. Evacuations were conducted “out of an abundance of caution.” (KARE11)
2. Police told an electrician they could not yet retrieve his stolen trailer from a homeless encampment in north Minneapolis due to hostility from the camp’s residents. A police spokesperson told KARE11 that officers have been attacked at the “Near North” encampment in the past. "The criminals there know that they can walk away and do whatever they want and know the cops aren't going to enforce the law in that area," Jerry Yang said of his stolen property. (KARE11)

3. Attendees at the Jamal Smith trial can no longer “wear yellow as a group” after Judge Nicole Engisch ruled it a distraction to the proceedings. Yellow shirts were worn to Hennepin County Courthouse by family and friends of Jay Boughton, the baseball coach Smith is accused of killing in 2021. (CBS)
4. The interim superintendent of Minneapolis Public Schools announced structural changes at the district. Rochelle Cox sent an email to school administrators Wednesday announcing her 12 cabinet members. (Paid source: Star Tribune)
