1. A man is in critical condition after being shot on I-94 Tuesday night. Minneapolis police said the shooting may have stemmed from an argument at a business near Washington Avenue and I-35W. (CBS)
2. More than 100 emergency nurses have arrived in Minnesota to help health care workers with the strain of the omicron surge. Gov. Tim Walz said 100 more nurses are on the way as 71 percent of Minnesota hospitals report full intensive care units. (CBS)

3. The Minneapolis City Council approved a plan Tuesday to convert a former mansion in the Whitter neighborhood to an emergency shelter for women. Up to $4 million of the city's federal pandemic relief funds will go toward buying the house at 2400 Stevens Ave. (StarTribune)
4. Construction could begin this year on a $21 million renovation of North Commons Park. The project is expected to take at least three and half years to complete. (KARE11)
5. An inauguration ceremony was held this week at the Minneapolis Convention Center to swear in the mayor and members of city council. The event was closed to the public due to COVID-19 protocols. (Minnesota Daily)
