1. A person was killed in a shooting Friday morning at 24th and Emerson Avenues North, Minneapolis police said. Two people were arrested for their involvement in the fatal shooting. (KARE11)

2. The Minneapolis Health Department issued guidance Friday "strongly" recommending residents wear masks in indoor settings, regardless of vaccination status. The seven-day new COVID-19 case rate increased by 340 percent in Minneapolis, according to the city health department. (KARE11)

3. A plan to give bonus checks to frontline workers passed both the Minnesota House and Senate this week, the Star Tribune reports. It will now go to Gov. Tim Walz for his signature.
