ROSEVILLE, MN — A Duluth lottery player is $100,000 richer after Saturday’s Powerball drawing. The winning ticket, which included the Power Play option, matched four numbers plus the Powerball in the Aug. 23 drawing.
The lucky ticket was purchased at Miller Hill Super One, 5401 Burning Tree Road in Duluth. The Aug. 23 winning numbers were 11, 14, 34, 47, 51, with 18 as the Powerball and a Power Play multiplier of 2.
Power Play is a $1 add-on that boosts non-jackpot prizes by the drawn multiplier. The only exception is the second-tier prize, which is always set at $2 million with Power Play, no matter the multiplier.

In Minnesota, lottery prizes must be claimed within one year of the drawing. Winnings over $50,000 must be claimed in person at Minnesota Lottery headquarters in Roseville, while prizes of $50,000 or less can be claimed by mail or at a regional office. Winners are encouraged to call ahead to confirm hours and schedule an appointment.
Unless winners choose to go public, their name and city will remain private. Since Sept. 1, 2021, Minnesota law has made the names and cities of lottery prize winners over $10,000 classified as private data.
