1. Olson Middle School went on lockdown Wednesday afternoon after a fight "that resulted with a threat of adults possibly coming to our school," officials wrote via social media. Minneapolis police responded to the scene before classes returned to "normal operations" around 1:40 p.m. (Patch)
2. One person was killed, and six others were injured Tuesday night in a wrong-way crash on Interstate 35E. The crash involved four vehicles including a school bus. A 36-year-old St. Paul woman died at the scene. (BMTN)

3. Minneapolis Public Schools will rename two schools with controversial namesakes, the district announced this week. Sheridan Dual Language Elementary will become Las Estrellas Dual Language Academy and Jefferson Global Studies and Humanities will be renamed in honor of civil rights activist Ella Baker. (CBS)
4. An animal rights protester attempted to glue herself to the court at Target Center Tuesday during the Timberwolves game. Alicia Santurio of the group Direct Action Everywhere appeared to be protesting Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor, whom activists say owns an abusive factory farm. (Patch)
