• Minneapolis Police asking for assitance to locate a missing man last seen leaving a hospital (kstp.com) — Minneapolis police are asking residents to help find 35-year-old Khalid Hassan, last seen leaving Hennepin County Medical Center on Friday evening and later near the 400 block of Cedar Avenue South. He may now be wearing a black hat, brown jacket, and grey gloves. Anyone who spots him should call 911, and tips can also be shared via email, voicemail, or Crimestoppers.
   

• Minneapolis Rabbi responds to terrorist attack in Australia (fox9.com) — A south Minneapolis rabbi is helping Temple Israel congregants process grief after a deadly terrorist attack in Sydney, urging them to lean into Jewish faith and pride as Hanukkah begins. She also notes the synagogue’s own recent anti-Semitic vandalism and emphasizes both security and interfaith relationships as sources of strength for the local Jewish community.
   

• Twin Cities shelters fear financial sustainability as cold hits and donations drop (kstp.com) — Shelter leaders in Minneapolis and St. Paul say demand is surging in the bitter cold while donations and government support lag, straining budgets at places like Catholic Charities’ Higher Ground Minneapolis. With facilities already over capacity and heating and staffing costs rising, a coalition of shelters, businesses, and officials plans to meet Monday to search for new funding and long-term solutions.
