1. Two bullets struck a lobby window Monday night at the Children's Minnesota Hospital in Minneapolis, BMTN reports. Officials said the hospital was not targeted and "the shots came from an incident that was occurring several blocks away." (BMTN)
2. Four buildings in the Phillips neighborhood were damaged Wednesday in a three-alarm fire. The short-staffed fire department is investigating the cause of the early morning blaze in the 2800 block of 14th Avenue South. No injuries were reported despite high winds and heat exhaustion concerns. (KARE11)

3. Aquatennial attendees will notice a “significant” police presence at this year’s four-day event, the city announced. The heightened security is a response to July 4 violence across Minneapolis. (BMTN)
4. A toddler is recovering after falling from the third-story window of a Whittier apartment complex on July 10. Yoselin Chávez is 20 months old and “making progress” at Hennepin County Medical Center. (KARE11)
