MINNEAPOLIS, MN — As the winter cold and flu season rages on, Progresso is introducing a unique new product that it says is "innovating beyond expectations": the first-ever "Soup Drops."

"What’s a Soup Drop? Well, it’s soup you can suck on, of course!" the brand announced.

While most people turn to cough drops at the first sign of a scratchy throat, Progresso is taking a different approach with Soup Drops, which promise to deliver "the classic, hearty flavor of Progresso Chicken Noodle Soup" in a convenient lozenge.

"It’s a convenient hard candy drop reminding you of the comfort you can find in a bowl of Progresso Soup," the company said.

The brand claims the new product will give soup fans the same experience as sipping a warm spoonful of Progresso’s classic Chicken Noodle Soup. Each drop is designed to deliver the familiar flavors of broth, savory vegetables, chicken, soft egg noodles, and a hint of parsley in a surprising new form.

The Soup Drops come in packaging that mirrors the iconic Progresso Soup can, containing 20 individually wrapped candies. Each order also includes a can of Progresso Traditional Chicken Noodle Soup.
