1. Record cold temperatures could hit the Twin Cities today, with a high of only 46 degrees. The National Weather Service said it is 10-15 degrees below normal for this time of year. (Patch)

2. An animal rights protester was tackled by Target Center security Saturday when she attempted to storm the court during the Timberwolves play-off game. It is the third protester to enter the court over the past five games. Advocates say they are protesting Wolves co-owner Glen Taylor’s chicken farm. (Yahoo)

3. A 13-year-old St. Louis Park student was accepted to the University of Minnesota's doctorate program for physics. Elliott Tanner will complete his undergraduate degree at the U in May. (Patch)
