Record Heat Before Chances For Snow This Weekend: MN Weather

MINNEAPOLIS — After a brief cooldown Wednesday, temperatures are set to soar to potentially record-breaking levels on Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

Cooler weather will return by Friday and Saturday. Dry conditions are expected through Friday, with a chance of light snow showers moving in on Saturday, the NWS said.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 48. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest in the afternoon.

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 36. North wind around 10 mph.

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 25. North wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east southeast after midnight.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Saturday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 29. South southeast wind 10 to 15 mph becoming west southwest after midnight.
