1. Hennepin County is now at the medium level for COVID-19 transmission, as determined by the CDC. Carver, Scott and Washington counties also rose to the medium level for the first time since February. (KARE11)

2. A portion of Southbound I-35W will be closed through Monday for pavement repairs. The roadway will be shut down between Interstate 94 and Highway 62/Crosstown in Minneapolis until 5 a.m. Monday. Click here for information on detours and ramp closures. (Patch)

3. The mother of Daunte Wright said she was assaulted by a Brooklyn Center police officer Wednesday night. The police department issued body camera footage from the encounter with Katie Wright “in an effort to promote public safety and dispel widespread rumor or unrest.” (CBS)

4. The state could see highs in the 90s next week as temperatures begin to climb. The National Weather Service reports showers are likely for most of this weekend. (Patch)
