Spirit Halloween Taking Over 19 Empty Stores In Minnesota: Full List

MINNESOTA — Attention, Halloween lovers: Spirit Halloween plans to open 19 stores across Minnesota this season, and we’ve got the list of where they’ll be. Most are expected to open by the end of August.

Spirit Halloween's real estate strategy is to "ideally look for temporary three-month leases that include a kick-out clause," the company said on its website.

"Since Spirit locations open on or about September 1 and remain open through November 1, our ideal lease would run from mid July through mid-November," continued the company. "We like to locate our stores in power centers, strip centers, free-standing stores, major downtown retail locations and in major malls surrounded by a national retailer mix. Our aim is to set up in communities that have 1) a population of approximately 35,000+, 2) living within a 3-5 mile radius, and 3) with a car count of at least 25,000 cars per day."

Spirit Halloween said its Minnesota stores will offer a wide range of costumes for all ages, including officially licensed outfits from popular franchises such as Star Wars, Disney Princesses, Terrifier, and Five Nights at Freddy’s.

In addition to costumes, stores feature animatronics, makeup, decorations, and accessories for both indoor and outdoor Halloween displays.

Shoppers can also order online and pick up at their nearest Minnesota location.
